					| Pirates Sneak Past Cardinals, 2-1 |
					| Pittsburgh Pirates starter Isaac Spikes turned in a sterling performance against the St. Louis Cardinals, leading his team to a slim 2-1 win. The Pirates, at 100-55, have a comfortable 19½-game lead in their division.
Pat Sutton was the walk-off hero for Pittsburgh. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pirates pinch hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

Spikes said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
