Silveira IV Leads Royals to 4-0 Win over Pirates
Jimmy Silveira IV never let the Pirates get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his cutter, to pitch the Royals to a win, 4-0. John Hall notched his 2nd save in 7 chances. The second-place Royals have won 5 consecutive games.

Silveira IV earned the win, going 8.1 strong innings for Kansas City. The native of Hamilton, Ohio, allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 8. Pittsburgh hitters did next to nothing against the right-hander.
