					| Late Magic Gets Washington 4-2 Win |
					| The Washington Nationals downed the Philadelphia Phillies, 4-2, at Citizens Bank Park. The Nationals were led by John Sanders. He was 2 for 3 with 2 home runs. The winner in relief was Kyle Bradley. He is now 4-1. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.1 innings. Philadelphia's current losing streak has reached 5 games.
The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Alexis Cantu came to bat in the top of the ninth. Facing Philadelphia pitcher Jamie Verberkmoes, he hit a full count screwball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Washington on top, 4-2.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Washington manager Mike Shore.
