					| Twins Edge Yankees, 9-8 |
					| The New York Yankees got a superb performance from shortstop Jason Peck. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Minnesota. The Twins won the game, 9-8. Peck was 1-1 with a home run and 4 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Matt Walton, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on 1 hit. The save went to Mark Case, his 12th this season.
Minnesota used the clutch hitting of Danny Eberhart to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Twins ahead, 9-8. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"Nothing is scripted in this game," said Eberhart.

The Twins raised their record to 52-91.
