					| White Sox Bridle Athletics, 4-2 |
					| Chicago pitcher Adam Ratcliff did his part in helping his team beat the Oakland Athletics, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Chicago leads the American League Central Division by 29½ games.
The White Sox got a big at-bat from first baseman Dan Lash. For the game, Lash was 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 27th double of the season gave Chicago a 3-2 lead.

After the game, Chicago manager Jake Turnbull applauded the team's effort. "They busted their tails out there," he said.
