					| Nationals Prevail, 2-1, Over Chicago |
					| Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Washington Nationals and Chicago Cubs.
The Washington Nationals did just enough to sneak past the Chicago Cubs, 2-1, at Nationals Park. Washington pitcher Julio Pizano, in particular, had a standout performance. Pizano picked up the win for Washington, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 3-1. Keith Pratt, credited with the save, is now 19 for 20 in save opportunities.

Washington took a 2-1 lead on Jae-ik Soung's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run came off Chicago pitcher Jose Carrillo in the bottom of the seventh.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Chicago manager Mergatroid Skittle.

The Nationals now have a mark of 59-82.
