					| The St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Cubs played an exciting game. 
 The St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Chicago Cubs, 4-2, in National League action at Busch Stadium. St. Louis pitcher John Fisher had a standout performance. The winning pitcher was Fisher, now 4-7. He tossed 6.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 7.
 
 The Cardinals got a big at-bat from second baseman John Parra. For the game, Parra was 1 for 3 with a triple. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run  triple. His 1st triple of the season gave St. Louis a 2-0 lead.
 
 "Feels good to get the job done," Parra said after the game.
 
 St. Louis occupies last place in the National League Central Division at 62-78.
