					| Led by Ruben Velasco, the Toronto Blue Jays downed the Chicago White Sox, 7-5. Velasco was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for the Blue Jays. Junpei Yamazaki was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 20 of 22 save opportunities. The Blue Jays have an impressive 92-46 record. 
 With Toronto leading 5-1 in the top of the fifth, Velasco came up to bat against Chicago pitcher Tommy Benedict. Velasco hit a sinker to right for a 2-run  home run. His 20th home run of the season put the Blue Jays on top, 7-1.
