Loss to Royals Extends Minnesota Losing Streak
|
Fans watched the Kansas City Royals and the Minnesota Twins fight to the finish.
A 3-RBI performance from Justin Rupert helped the Kansas City Royals beat the Minnesota Twins, 6-5. The losses continue to pile up for Minnesota, which has now fallen 13 times in a row.
Rupert had a timely hit for Kansas City in the bottom of the seventh. With Minnesota trailing 5-3, he turned a 1-1 fastball into a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season, making it 6-5, Kansas City.
"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Patrick Slack, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
