					| The New York Mets topped the Toronto Blue Jays, 5-0, in National League action at Citi Field. The standout performance belonged to New York pitcher and Sudbury, Canada, native Ron Hawkins. New York bumps their record to 58-62 with the win. 
 Early in the game, center fielder Gus Berry had a 2-run  home run for New York. It was his 22nd home run of the season and put the Mets on top, 2-0.
 
 Berry called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
