The Texas Rangers went home winners at Globe Life Park in Arlington, thanks in large part to starter Pimbly Nimblebottom. Nimblebottom stifled the New York Yankees, enabling Texas to grab the 6-1 win. Nimblebottom, the winner, moves to 10-6. He threw 7 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 5 walks. With the win, Texas upped its record to 69-41.

The Rangers got a big at-bat from center fielder Cody Schumacher. For the game, Schumacher went 2-4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 15th double of the season gave Texas a 2-0 lead.
