Texas rode a good effort from starter Shelby Rich to beat the Seattle Mariners at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The final score was 3-2. Texas reliever Kyle Curve picked up the win, raising his record to 9-0. William de Jesus was tagged with the loss. Brad Kramer notched his 28th save in 33 chances.

In the bottom of the seventh, Texas third baseman Jerry Jauregui hit a run-scoring single to center field. The clutch hit made it, 3-2, Rangers.

Rich told a Texas Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.

The American League West Division-leading Rangers have a record of 67-40.
