					| Astros Upend Dodgers, 3-1 |
					| The Houston Astros topped the Los Angeles Dodgers, 3-1, in American League action at Dodger Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Houston pitcher and New London, Connecticut, native Bill Dillard. Dillard, now 7-1, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Kyle McPeak got the save, his 7th in 9 chances.
Houston relied on the hitting of Chris Lane to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Astros on top, 2-1. For the game, Lane had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Dillard told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."

The Astros now have a record of 37-70.
