					| Yankees Lose By a Run at Toronto, 5-4 |
					| The Toronto Blue Jays did just enough to sneak past the New York Yankees, 5-4, at Rogers Centre. Toronto pitcher Stacy Hootentootin, in particular, had a standout performance. Junpei Yamazaki was credited with the save, his 12th in 13 tries. The win elevated the Blue Jays to 62-36.
The Blue Jays got a big at-bat from right fielder Mark Rennie. For the game, Rennie was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 17th home run of the season gave Toronto a 2-0 lead.

"I was a little disappointed," said New York manager Vince Deyzel. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
