Orioles Lose Late, 5-1
|
The Montreal Expos and Baltimore Orioles completed their game despite the inclement weather.
Montreal rode a good effort from starter Link Zeller to beat the Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. The final score was 5-1. The triumph puts Montreal at 47-30 for the season.
Montreal used the timely hitting of Pete Barutha to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Expos on top, 4-1. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"We're a talented bunch when we're playing well," said Zeller. "I think we showed that here."
