					| Chicago White Sox starter Xenophon Valvis pitched a strong game against the California Angels at U.S. Cellular Field, leading the White Sox to victory, 5-2. Valvis got the win, improving to 7-0. He allowed 6 hits and walked 2 over 7.2 innings. Valvis allowed 2 runs. Chicago now has a record of 27-16 with the win. 
 Sidney Pedder took Angel Marquez deep in the bottom of the third. His 2-run  home run put the White Sox on top, 3-2. In all, Pedder had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
 
 Pedder called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
