The Cleveland Indians topped the Texas Rangers, 6-4, in American League action at Progressive Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of Cleveland shortstop Tze-meng Gan. Juan Flores sewed up the save, his 7th. At 17-23, Cleveland is in 4th place in the American League Central Division.

The Indians got a big at-bat from designated hitter Drtian Thaqi. For the game, Thaqi was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Cleveland a 4-3 lead.

"It was our day today," Thaqi told the Cleveland Daily. "But we've got to keep our nose to the grindstone."
