					| The Baltimore Orioles bested the Boston Red Sox, 9-0, at Fenway Park. Rudo Garciaparra was one of the standouts. He was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Errol Dondale got credit for the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 5.2 innings. With the win, Baltimore raised its record to 21-15. 
 With Baltimore leading 6-0 in the top of the ninth, Garciaparra came up to bat against Boston pitcher Fred Huber. Garciaparra hit a fastball to left-center for a 3-run  home run. His 7th home run of the season put the Orioles on top, 9-0.
 
 "Things went our way," said Garciaparra.
