					| The Seattle Mariners took Houston pitcher Kyle McPeak's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Minute Maid Park. The final score had Seattle getting past the Astros, 5-4. McPeak went 7.2 innings and allowed 4 runs, striking out 9. Seattle reliever David Sly picked up the win, upping his record to 3-0. Chad Dominey absorbed the loss. The win gives Seattle a season record of 19-19. 
 Bobby Larson, the 35-year old designated hitter , had a direct impact on the outcome. Larson contributed a run-scoring  walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Seattle up, 4-3.
 
 Larson called the triumph "a good team win."
