					| Behind the hitting of Rudo Garciaparra, the Baltimore Orioles stopped the Cleveland Indians, 9-1. Garciaparra was 1 for 2 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Orioles. The winning pitcher was Errol Dondale. He's now 2-1. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits for the Orioles. Cleveland falls to 11-20. 
 Garciaparra made an early impact for Baltimore when he stroked his 5th home run of the season. The 2-run  home run, which came in the top of the third, put the Orioles on top, 3-0.
