Melendez on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Washington (APP) Sunday, October 15th , 2045 Jose Melendez was on fire today and sparked his club to a 30-3 victory over the Nationals. The Danville center fielder was a tough out and went 5-for-6 against Washington (APP) in a fine hitting display. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody and some days they fall in." Jose Melendez hit a two-run home run off Matt Norris in the 1st, hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit an RBI triple in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Thus far this season Melendez has hit .364 with 30 home runs, 140 RBIs and scored 152 times. |
