Hawkins Batters Burlington for 5 Hits
Sunday, October 1st , 2045
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Boston (APP)'s 21-0 win over Burlington today, left fielder Scott Hawkins was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Burlington Athletic Stadium.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Hawkins said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Scott Hawkins hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 8th.
On the year Hawkins is hitting .360 with 81 hits, no home runs, 56 RBIs, .435 OBP and has scored 52 runs.
