Fitzgerald Grabs AL Reliever of the Year Wednesday, November 8th , 2045
He may only be 21, but Billy Fitzgerald of the Pawtucket Red Sox has already established himself as one of the elite relievers in the American League.
The reliever was today named the AL Reliever of the Year winner for 2045.
He won the award with a strong year that saw him put up 16 saves in 54 relief appearances and 75 strikeouts in 59.1 innings. He had a record of 5-7 to go with his 2.43 ERA.
He received 14 first place votes out of a possible 30. Will Lane of the Toledo Mud Hens finished second in voting with 12 first place votes, while Elijah Everett of the Nashville Sounds finished third with 3 first place votes.
