River Cats End Weareorwear's Streak Thursday, July 20th , 2045 Lady Luck was not on the side of Trevor Weareorwear or his teammates today at Raley Field. Everything went the way of the Sacramento River Cats, who not only came away with the 5-0 victory over Indianapolis, but also held Weareorwear hitless in 3 at-bats to put an end to his 21-game hitting streak. "It was a good run," Weareorwear said afterward. "It would be much easier to take right now if we had won." This year Weareorwear has socked 74 hits in 246 at-bats for a .301 average with 5 home runs. He is getting on base at a .389 pace and his totals also include 33 RBIs and 38 runs scored. |
