White Sox Win 5-4 Walk-Off
|
Leo Navarro was instrumental in his team's 5-4 triumph over the Minnesota Twins. The catcher went 3-3 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI for the Chicago White Sox. Reliever Zach Ault picked up the win. His record improves to 2-2. Tomas Vargas took the loss. Chicago raised its record to 71-34 with the win.
Randy Rosenberry was the walk-off hero for Chicago. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the White Sox center fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Minnesota manager Patrick Slack.
