Southern Maryland Takes Round 1 Friday, October 21st , 2044 The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs are one step closer to the World Series. The club prevailed 3-2 at Chester Ballpark tonight to eliminate the Chester Pirates and advance to the Quarter-Finals. The Blue Crabs won the series by a 4-2 margin, with center fielder and series MVP Tony Godley leading the way. "I'm proud of all the guys," Godley said. "This was a team effort, not just me." The Quarter-Finals matchups and schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
