Invaders Pitching Ravaged by Fruit Wednesday, September 21st , 2044 Chris Fruit of the Brewers was unstoppable in today's 20-1 victory over the Roswell Invaders at Area 51. He battered them for 5 hits in 6 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the Madison catcher after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-6 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Chris Fruit struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Henry Torres in the 7th, tripled in the 8th and hit a three-run double in the 8th. Fruit is presently hitting at a .312 pace with 8 home runs, 37 RBIs and has scored 34 times. |
