University of South Carolina Starting Pitcher Best Rookie Tuesday, November 1st , 2044 The top rookie has been named for October -- and the winner is Jim Sanders. The Dvision 1 presented the trophy to him today in a press conference. It was a strong 5-0 record that brought the University of South Carolina starter the Rookie of the Month award. Sanders excelled last month with a 1.41 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 32 innings, fanned 30 and held hitters he faced to a .202 average. His record this year is 5-3 in 16 starts and Sanders has a 2.99 ERA. |
