Week's Best Player Honored by DIV I Monday, September 26th , 2044 18-year-old Troy Trice made a few Rice University headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Dvision 1 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 6 hits in 12 at-bats to put up a .500 average. Trice collected 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 4 runs. Trice is hitting .324 for the season with 9 home runs, 26 RBIs and 16 runs scored. He has 23 hits in 71 at-bats and played in 24 games. |
