Wildcats Held Hitless by Gutierrez Monday, September 5th , 2044 Excitement reigned at Hi Corbett Field today as University of Toronto Marlies hurler Leo Gutierrez tossed a baseball rarity -- a no-hitter. After defeating the University of Arizona Wildcats, 5-0, he was swamped by reporters in the clubhouse for postgame comments. "I'm just glad to be here," Gutierrez said. "Today I just went right at the Wildcats as hard as I could, as long as I could." Gutierrez chalked up 5 strikeouts and allowed 2 walks in his superb performance. "I don't think they could have stopped him with a howitzer today," said University of Toronto manager Major Manager. |
