Quirk Spectacular in 8-0 Win Saturday, December 3rd , 2044 Murphy Quirk kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Arizona (WIN) Diamondbacks were all smiles after winning 8-0 against the Texas (WIN) Rangers at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick today. The left-handed Quirk gave up no runs in his start, permitted 2 hits and had 14 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Quirk said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." |
