January's Top Starter Named in A Monday, February 1st , 2044 The Division A hitters didn't have a chance in January when the New York (WIN) Yankees manager wrote "Sever" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, Erik Sever held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 4-0 mark and 1.95 ERA in 4 starts. The talented Yankees star pitched 32.1 innings, fanned 40 and held opposing teams to a .211 average. For his superb mound work Sever was named the A Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. In 8 starts this season Sever has registered a 5-1 record and a 2.51 ERA. |
