22-Game Streak Ends, Cotton Hitless Friday, October 14th , 2044 Great Falls triumphed over Boston (APP) today, but that was only one of the headlines from the game -- Voyagers left fielder Andy Cotton failed to get a hit in the 5-4 win, bringing his 22-game hitting streak to an abrupt end. "I carried the club a few times over the past couple weeks, but today they carried me," he told reporters in his postgame remarks. "No matter what else happens, it is always good to win a ballgame." So far this season Cotton is hitting .259 with 22 home runs. |
