Tri-City Hopeless Against de Ruiter Monday, September 12th , 2044 Jarne de Ruiter kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the Vermont Lake Monsters were all smiles after winning 5-0 against the Tri-City ValleyCats at Centennial Field today. The right-handed de Ruiter gave up no runs in his start, permitted 4 hits and had 6 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," de Ruiter said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." |
