NYP's Top Player, Cottrell of Lowell Monday, September 5th , 2044 So far in his young career, Nick Cottrell has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the McNamara Division in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 21-year-old Lowell Spinners third baseman hit at a torrid .480 clip as he collected 12 hits in 25 at-bats, 3 home runs, 15 RBIs and 9 runs scored. For the year Cottrell is batting .260 with 118 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 97 times and driven in 76. |
