Geer Spins No-Hitter Monday, June 27th , 2044 The Rome Braves had a lot to celebrate today as 19-year-old hurler Sean Geer no-hit the Hillsboro Hops at State Mutual Stadium today. In an impressive outing that keyed the Braves to a 7-0 victory, Geer had 11 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks. "He mixed his pitches well and hit his spots, plus he got a little help from above," said Rome manager James Zamarripa. "Sean really took it to another level today." This year Geer has 10 wins and 3 losses and a 2.51 ERA. |
