					| | Smashing Success: Nolasco Wallops 3 HR Sunday, January 3rd , 2044
Carlos Nolasco went on an explosive hitting spree against the Fort Myers Miracle at Hammond Stadium today, launching a trio of blasts to lead the Salem Red Sox to the 9-2 win.

The third baseman finished 3-for-5 with 3 runs scored and 5 RBI.

"It was just one of those days," Nolasco said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball."

Fort Myers skipper Ozzie Rios said Nolasco was "locked-in."

"We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him."

Carlos Nolasco grounded out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Molina in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Bobby Molina in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Curtis Ferguson in the 7th and struck out in the 9th.

So far this season Nolasco has 10 home runs and a .314 batting average.
