Hillcats Not Competitive in 13-0 Loss to Clearwater Monday, December 14th , 2043 It wasn't easy but the Clearwater Threshers made it look that way. Starter Scott Hopkins shut out the Lynchburg Hillcats despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Clearwater Threshers cruised to victory, 13-0. Hopkins allowed only 1 hit and rang up 15 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up." |
