Streak Finally Over, Ono Held Hitless Sunday, September 4th , 2044 Shigeru Ono's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 20 games today as the Springfield Cardinals dropped their contest with the Harrisburg Senators 4-3 at FNB Field. Ono failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-3. After the game Ono spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. This year Ono has hit at a .372 pace and produced 20 RBIs, 5 home runs and scored 24 runs. |
