Northwest Arkansas Shut Out by Jones Monday, August 22nd , 2044 Spencer Jones kept the opposition off the scoreboard and the New Hampshire Fisher Cats were all smiles after winning 15-0 against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals at Northeast Delta Dental Stadium today. The left-handed Jones gave up no runs in his start, permitted 3 hits and had 11 strikeouts. "If there was a stat for 'team shutout,' this would be it," Jones said later. "My catcher called a great game, guys delivered at the plate and when I messed something up the guys behind me were where they needed to be." For the year Jones has a 19-0 record with a 1.87 ERA in 26 starts. |
