Zephyrs End Strijbis's Streak Friday, August 19th , 2044 Kennet Strijbis's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 22 games today as the Colorado Springs Sky Sox dropped their contest with the New Orleans Zephyrs 4-2 at Security Service Field. Strijbis failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-4. After the game Strijbis spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. Strijbis currently has a .270 batting average with 119 hits, 9 homers, 44 RBIs, 62 runs scored and a .316 OBP. |
