Express, Nunez Stonewall Columbus, 4-0 Monday, October 5th , 2043 In an outstanding mound performance, Round Rock Express starter Victor Nunez fired a complete-game shutout against the Columbus Clippers at Huntington Park today. Nunez was the key to the Express's 4-0 win. The 31-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 5 hits and no walks he allowed. "5 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." In 32 starts this year Nunez has recorded a 12-10 record and a 3.15 ERA. |
