Kansas City Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Kauffman Stadium was the site of quite a ballgame.

The Minnesota Twins got a sterling performance from pitcher Jesus Fernandez, but the Kansas City Royals still prevailed, 4-3. Fernandez threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Kansas City reliever Cody Autry picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Riley Pooley took the loss.

Gareth Busby was the walk-off hero for Kansas City. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Royals second baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Let's just say I'm happy we won," said Busby. "There are a lot of people in the clubhouse who like to whine too much when we lose."

The win has Kansas City at 7-6.
