					| Cubs Win, Now 8-4 |
					| Tommy Luce had a good game, but he could not keep the St. Louis Cardinals from falling, 6-3, to the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. The St. Louis left fielder belted 2 home runs in the loss. The winner was Chicago reliever Rich Ortega, now 1-0. The loser was Brian Sanderson. The Cubs, now 8-4, have played some good baseball in the early going.
Steve Bui had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Chicago. He came through with a 2-run single to put Chicago in front, 4-3.

"We've got guys willing to do what it takes to win," Bui told the Chicago Observer.
