In an impressive mound performance, Steve Johnson of the Scranton WB RailRiders checked the Rochester Red Wings on a 6-hitter and held them scoreless.

"He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said Rochester manager Nicholas Carrey. "Johnson kept us confused the whole game."

The Scranton WB hurler rang up 4 strikeouts and issued 3 walks in his 8-0 shutout victory.

In 17 starts this season Johnson has fashioned a 8-5 record and a 2.57 ERA.
