					| The Cincinnati Reds topped the Chicago Cubs, 4-3, in National League action at Great American Ball Park. The standout performance belonged to Cincinnati pitcher and Brooklyn, New York, native Marshall Barron. Barron went 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 7 hits, walked 1, and struck out 6. His record improves to 12-6.  Paul Forbes was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 31 of 32 save opportunities. 
 In the bottom of the third, Willie Cardamone hit a 2-run  home run. The 29th home run of the season for the Cincinnati center fielder put the Reds on top, 3-2.
 
 "We cashed in when we had the chance," said Cincinnati manager Jimmy Silveira II.
 
 Cincinnati raised its record to 97-64 with the win.
