					| Athletics Top Red Sox, 2-0 |
					| In a low-scoring affair between the Oakland Athletics and the Boston Red Sox, pitcher Sean Hill was the difference between victory and defeat. The Oakland right-hander earned accolades in the 2-0 Athletics win. Jamie Tanner, now 4-2, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 0. The win puts Oakland at 61-95.
Oakland used the timely hitting of Mark Rennie to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Athletics on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We did just enough to win," Rennie said.
