Barefoot Slugs Reds to 8-5 Win
Cincinnati and Minnesota duked it out and the Reds came out victorious.

Dave Barefoot had an impact in the 8-5 Cincinnati win over Minnesota. The 23-year old shortstop belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice. The win elevated the Reds to 92-61.

Cincinnati took a 5-2 lead on Barefoot's 27th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Greg Weislo in the top of the sixth, propelled Cincinnati to the win.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Barefoot. "And not try to do too much."
