The Texas Rangers topped the Houston Astros by a score of 8-7. Leading the way was second baseman John Giesbrecht. Giesbrecht hit 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice for the Rangers. Kyle Curve got the save, his 6th in 10 chances. The win puts Texas at 101-46 this season.

Giesbrecht had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the seventh, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Rangers went on to win.
