Brewers Stumble, Lose to Cubs
With third baseman Will Leslie leading the charge, the Chicago Cubs defeated the Milwaukee Brewers, 10-3, at Wrigley Field. Leslie, who is on pace for 105 RBI this season, was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Unkei Wakamatsu, the winning pitcher, improved to 19-6. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 7 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 10 and walking 1. With the win, Chicago pushed its record to 96-50.

With Chicago leading 7-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Leslie came up to bat against Milwaukee pitcher Kouchiro Yamaguchi. Leslie hit a fastball to left for a 3-run home run. His 26th home run of the season put the Cubs on top, 10-2.
